For the Sustainable Pixel Podcast and Events company, I worked with Shirley in the process and early stages of logo ideation and creation, branding, and illustration. To create these logos, Shirley identified her basic company values and purpose of creating her audio series and event planning business, and requested designs inspired by her passion for environmental advocacy and current favorite podcast hosts and sustainability influencers. We created a custom color palette of various hues of warm and cool greens, including variations of her favorite mint shades, to highlight the subject matter of her series and evoke her personal creativity. We tested various shades of deep browns and light tans before selecting complementary additional hues, and created a series of accompanying graphic elements, icons, and illustrations. For the title design, we selected a contemporary and modern sans-serif font for the logo treatment to highlight the relevance of her topics in the current times, and included custom hand-drawn icons of computer cursor-shaped pine trees, podcast mics, and pixelized letters for additional typographic customization. Finally, we included custom humanistic modern graphic shapes, plant illustrations, and lines to highlight the unique marriage of the natural earth, human connection, and technology through the digital platform and online media. Collateral for this campaign included logo designs, Instagram and social media imagery, and website banner options.
