Creative Communal Curated Markets is a curated open air Pop-Up Makers Market featuring local artisans, crafters, and creative makers all across Southern California, from Long Beach, Redlands, Orange County, and San Diego.

For this seasonal event series at the 2nd & PCH Entertainment Center in Long Beach, the Markets requested a fun, celebratory design for their Summertime Explorers Seasonal Summer Kids Club, that also featured bright, tropical elements of the Long Beach location. For all collateral, we used the venue’s branded typography for title treatments and branded hot pink and navy blue hues, while also including elements of typical summertime imagery. Inspired by the Southern California setting and playful children’s theme, I created custom graphic ocean wave illustrations with a beaming yellow sun, tropical palm trees, and specially-requested artistic paint splatters. Marketing and promotional event collateral included Instagram feed and story images, a print poster for on-site signage, Facebook event banner, horizontal and vertical LED signage, and a children’s coloring sheet.
